In one of the most sought-after areas, in the center of Heraklion in Crete, very close to the port, with an eye on the sea and the Venetian walls, we have created a residential complex that is coming to change the facts.
On a highly privileged plot, with plenty of transparency, excellent orientation and strategic placement of the buildings based on the exploitation of the sea view, this project stands out through its minimal aesthetics and dynamic design.
The central idea of the composition was the design of two buildings, in order to ensure their optimal lighting and ventilation. The creation of a gap between the two buildings made it possible to take advantage of the orientation. Using a homogeneous architectural vocabulary, the two volumes are elevated and contrasted, thus creating a continuous dialogue of void and fullness between them.
The palette that shapes the facades of the buildings consists of white frames, dark balconies and large openings, elements that overall achieve a combination of balance and architectural harmony. A special feature of the composition is the possibility of choosing a residence, which is developed on one or two levels (maisonette). The properties are arranged in such a way that the living areas have a view of the city or the sea, while the more private uses of the houses are released on balconies in the open area of the plot.
The apartments are distinguished by ergonomics and functionality in all areas. Kitchens and bathrooms are designed individually for each owner and the choice of materials is based on their needs and preferences, with the constant support of our decorators.
The maximum energy rating of the building A+ is achieved by installing photovoltaic systems, energy frames, 10cm thermal facade as well as heat pumps for cooling and heating.
